In Memory of david a. geller

The David A. Geller Memorial Fund
Today the HSF is mourning the loss of 48-year-old David A. Geller of White Plains, New York. An energetic, dynamic and loving husband and father of three daughters, David lost his long battle with HS, and our deepest sympathy goes out to his family & friends. David developed cancer which was caused by long term HS. This tragedy strengthens our resolve to spread awareness and understanding of HS with the hope that no one else should have to suffer with the pain that David endured.

The Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation has established The David A. Geller Memorial Fund to further the research, education and treatment of HS. If your are interested in contributing to this fund, please mail your donation to the address below, or use our secure PayPal site online by clicking the DONATE button here. (You do not need to have a PayPal Account if you are using a credit card.)

The Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity incorporated in the state of California, USA. Your donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. All donors will receive an acknowledgement letter via email and/or mail.

SPRING INTO ACTION! FOR A NATIONAL HS AWARENESS MONTH
ASK YOUR CONGRESSIONAL REPS TO CO-SPONSOR H. RES. 1037
Registered voters in the United States, PLEASE ask your congressional representatives to support and co-sponsor House Resolution 1037. The resolution, introduced by Rep. Steve Kagen (Wisconsin) on March 11, 2008 is titled: Expressing the need for enhanced public awareness of Hidradenitis Suppurativa, and for the support of the designation of a National Hidradenitis Suppurativa Awareness Month. We need many, many congressional representatives to sign on in order for this to move forward. It just takes a few minutes! Just go HERE and choose your state and zip code (many districts need zip+4), and find your rep. You will either be directed to their website where you can look up the contact information, or a direct link to email them. You can also call them directly. Just ask them to co-sponsor H. RES. 1037, it is that simple. To read the complete Resolution, here is a LINK to the government site or a PDF to download to your computer.

HSF Newsletter Mailing List
Each time the HSF sends out a notification that about a new HSF Newsletter being available, a handful of subscribers are returned as undeliverable. This can happen for many reasons. Please re-subscribe if you are not receiving the notification, and make sure that info@hs-foundation is not set to spam. Our newsletter switched to a quarterly publication this year. Thank you!
