Support the HSF Mission: Educate
You may be a visitor to our site who has never heard of Hidradenitis Suppurativa; you may suffer from HS or know someone who does; or you may be a physician, nurse, or other health care provider researching this disease. One important way you can help support the HSF is to instill a greater awareness and knowledge about the disease. Here are a few ways to educate others:
- Teach friends, family and coworkers about HS and help them understand the nature and severity of this disabling condition. Assure them that the disease is not contagious.
- Provide copies of the HSF Information Kit to family and friends, teachers, educators, scientists and researchers, physicians, and other medical professionals. Tell them what impact this disease has on peoples lives.
- Share stories with other HS patients and with family and friends. Share your knowledge about how to cope with this disease. Share your treatment mishaps and successes. Share your hopes and fears.
