August 2024 Issue of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID) Features SHSA 2023 Highlights and Summary

The Eighth Annual Symposium on Hidradenitis Suppurativa Advances (SHSA), organized by the US and Canadian Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) Foundations, was held from 13 to 15 October 2023. There were 283 attendees, including HS experts, patients with HS, and industry representatives. Research into HS has grown rapidly, with a growing number of researchers and new findings. Thus, this article aims to review the key conference highlights related to pathogenesis and treatment for all of those pursuing HS research.
