I've been on the faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 2013, where I established a clinic focused on treating HS with medical, surgical, and laser management based on individual patient needs.  When I started, there were very few people with expertise in HS, and the HS Foundation has been a way to raise awareness, build a larger community of experts, and advocate for patient needs on a broader scale.  My efforts in patient care and research for HS have been magnified by the HS Foundation and I look forward to working with the patients and physicians in the group to make sure HS patients get the attention and care they deserve.
